Sponsorship vs. a charity donation
Sponsoring TMFD
Promotional support — it’s advertising, not a charitable donation. Your money helps cover real team costs, and in exchange you get decals, logo placement, social mentions, photos, and event-recap inclusion.
We do not issue charitable tax receipts. We’re a team, not a registered charity.
Want a tax receipt?
Isle of Van 2026is a charity event with its own official fundraising platform. Donate directly through those channels and you may receive an official tax receipt from the charity, where eligible. That’s the right path for charitable giving — and we’ll happily point you to it.
Plenty of sponsors do both: sponsor the team anddonate to the event. Totally up to you. We just keep the two clearly separate so everyone’s records are clean.

Sponsor FAQ
The honest answers.
Treat it as a business advertising/promotional expense, not a charitable donation — but check with your own accountant, since your situation is yours to confirm. We don't issue charitable tax receipts. We do provide a simple invoice and receipt for your records.
E-transfer to our team treasurer is easiest. We'll send a simple invoice with all the details and payment instructions once you pick a tier.
As early as possible, ideally a few weeks before the August 23 event so we can get decals printed and applied. Send a vector file (.ai, .eps, .pdf, or .svg) plus a transparent-background .png.
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. We're a grassroots team — we can't promise impressions, reach, or any specific ROI. What we promise is honest, good-faith promotion and that we'll actually do the work: real placement, real posts, real photos, real recap content.
Yes — a lot of sponsors like knowing exactly what they helped cover. Tell us and we'll match your support to a real cost and call it out when we thank you.
Often, yes — parts, service, gear, printing, food for the pit crew, and similar. Reach out and we'll figure out a fair tier equivalent.
We still deliver your promotion. Endurance riding is unpredictable — that's part of the story. Your placement, posts, photos, and recap mention happen regardless of how far the bike makes it.
