Charitable giving
Ride for a good cause.
Isle of Van 2026isn’t just a nine-hour endurance event — it’s a fundraiser. Teams ride to raise money for three Cowichan Valley charities. You can give directly through our team’s official fundraising page, and it counts toward the Dudes.
Why donate
Sponsorship helps us.
Donations help them.
Sponsoring the team is advertising — it covers tires, fuel, and entry, and you get your brand on the bike. A donation is different: it goes straight to the charities behind the event, where it does real good in our community and can earn you an official tax receipt (where eligible).
Every dollar raised supports kids in crisis, people with disabilities, and brain-injury survivors right here in the Cowichan Valley. You don’t have to choose — plenty of supporters sponsor the team and donate to the cause.
Where it goes
The 2026 charities.
CTRA
Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association
Provides therapeutic riding and equine-based therapy for people with disabilities — certified through Equine Canada and the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association. The CTRA also hosts the event's pancake breakfast.
CMHA CVB
Canadian Mental Health Association — Cowichan Valley Branch
Funds raised since 2022 went toward a down payment on a Duncan home now run as a Youth Emergency Shelter for 15–18-year-olds — a drop-in day program offering food, warm showers, laundry, and support. Ongoing funding helps pay down the mortgage and build out youth programs.
CBIS
Cowichan Brain Injury Society
Raises awareness about brain injury and its impacts — reducing stigma, promoting understanding, and supporting people living with brain injury across the Cowichan Valley.
